The Airports Authority of India will perform the first flying test landing at the Hollongi greenfield airport, which is close to the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar, a minister announced.
Around 9.20 am, an AAI B-350 (King Air) aircraft touched down at the airfield.
After the test landing, the pilots expressed appreciation for the runway and other airport equipment, according to State Minister of Civil Aviation Nakap Nalo.
About 15 kilometres separate Hollongi from Itanagar. There isn’t currently an airport nearby to the state capital; the nearest one is Lilabari Airport, which is located 80 kilometres away in the North Lakhimpur district of Assam.
