The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has begun a capital expenditure plan to build, improve, and modernise numerous airports across the country.
V K Singh, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, told the Rajya Sabha that the AAI is planning to build new airports and expand/upgrade existing ones at a cost of roughly 25,000 crore over the next 4-5 years.
Furthermore, three Public Private Partnership (PPP) airports in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru have announced a 30,000 crore expansion plan by 2025. These projects are in various phases of development and planning.
