Koch signs EPC deal with Fidelis New Energy

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the development of the GigaSystem carbon-negative renewable fuels facility and its major processing facility (Grön Facility) has been signed by the affiliate firm of Koch Engineered Solutions, Optimized Process Designs (OPD).

To support a final EPC transaction with assurance over price, schedule, and performance and enable non-recourse project financing, the multibillion-dollar Grön Facility requires extensive design and engineering work.

The GigaSystem was designed from the bottom up to integrate Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CC) with Carbon Negative Power (CNP), enabling the generation of carbon-negative renewable fuels while utilising tried-and-true technologies. Fidelis predicts that the GigaSystem will become the first dispatch renewable energy source because to its energy-efficient design, CCS, and CNP.
