Gurit, a pioneer in cutting-edge composite solutions for the wind energy, maritime, and other sectors, is a firm that is listed on the Swiss stock market.
With an investment of Rs 250 cr in plant and machinery, Gurit Wind Private Ltd, an Indian affiliate of Gurit Group, Switzerland, has established the manufacturing facility in Chennai for composite materials, core kitting, tooling and manufacturing solutions, and structural profiles business to serve the wind industry.
The complex, which has a built-up area of more than 380,000 square feet, has been erected on 16 acres of land in Oragadam’s Greenbase Industrial and Logistics Park (Hiranandani). More than 300 people will be employed directly by this plant, and it will also lead to numerous indirect job possibilities in the area.
