In Rajasthan, nine NH (National Highways) projects totaling 243 km in length and costing Rs 1,357 crore were officially opened and the foundation stone was placed by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
In his occasional remarks, he claimed that expanding the Ninawa stretch of NH-168A from Sanchore in the state will boost business for the granite businesses of the Chalaur district and make it simpler for farmers to get to Suratgarh Mandi.
The Minister claimed that the construction of a two-lane highway connecting Sriganganagar with Raisinghnagar on NH-911 and the reinforcement of Sriganganagar from Suratgarh on NH-62 will make it simpler to reach the international border and the military outpost on either side of the road, strengthening India’s strategic position.
He said the Armed Forces would get better connectivity across the border and create new jobs, which would move Rajasthan towards progress and prosperity.
