The state-owned NTPC will start commercial operations at the Kawas Solar Project in Gujarat, which has a 15-megawatt solar capacity. According to NTPC, the capacity is part of the 56 MW Kawas Solar Project, which is located in Kawas in the state’s Surat region.
“The second half capacity of 15 MW out of 56 MW Kawas Solar PV Project at Kawas has been declared on commercial operation with effect from 00:00 hours of 15.06.2022,” according to the company.
NTPC’s standalone installed and commercial capacity will increase to 54,666.68 MW,
while its group installed and commercial capacity will increase to 69,031.68 MW as a result of this.
