Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Rs 15,000-crore Bengaluru suburban railway project on 20 June.
The announcement was made by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
The CM made the remark during the opening of a new facility for the Govindaraj Nagar assembly constituency’s government upper primary school.
Bommai reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Bengaluru into a global metropolis with world-class amenities. He said that the government is working on big projects for the city, including the development of major stormwater drains for Rs 1,500 crore, the ongoing building of metro and suburban rail networks for Rs 40,000 crore, and the creation of 12 signal-free corridors.
“An efficient team of Ministers and legislators is working with me for the development of Bengaluru. A Best Bengaluru would be built with the most modern amenities.” the CM added.
