Va Tech Wabag has signed a concession agreement with Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) for the Design, Build, Finance, and Operation of a new 40 MLD Recycle and Re-use Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) plant and associated infrastructure under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) in Ghaziabad through its wholly owned subsidiary Ghaziabad Water Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Wabag will serve as the project’s technical partner and will carry out the Design-Build-Operate (DBO) contract with SPV for Rs. 594 crore, according to a release.
The building phase of the project will last two years, followed by a 15-year operating and maintenance period. During the building phase, GNN, which has generated funds through India’s first municipal Green Bond, will provide a grant to this project.
