The Vijayawada-Nagpur Express Highway is being built by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The Greenfield-Brownfield Express Highway will connect Vidarbha in Maharashtra, with the goal of expediting industrial and agricultural product transit. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has authorised a proposal to construct 457 kilometres of roads at a cost of Rs 14,000 crore.
The feasibility report and environmental impact statements have already been completed.
Five packages will be built for the Vijayawada-Nagpur Express Highway. Greenfield Express Highways will be built between Vijayawada and Khammam, Khammam and Warangal, and Warangal and Manchiryala.
Brownfield Express Highways will be built between Manchiryala and Repallewada, and between Repallewada and Chandrapur. The present 4-lane Express Highway links Chandrapur and Nagpur via this route.
Greenfield Express Highway is 310 kilometres long and Brownfield Express Highway is 147 kilometres long.
