The Royal Philips facility in Chakan, Maharashtra, has completed a 7200 square metre extension. The state-of-the-art facility currently has 11,700 square metres of floor area and serves the MR Radio Frequency Coil, mobile surgery systems, and Ultrasound assembly industries, among other things.
Bert van Meurs, Chief Business Leader, Philips Image Guided Therapy, Arjen Radder, Business Leader, Philips Magnetic Resonance, Daniel Mazon, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Philips Indian Subcontinent, and Peeyush Kaushik, Head of Philips Healthcare Innovation Center, Pune, were among those who officially opened the expanded facility.
Following the extension, the Chakan factory will manufacture, service, and repair MR coils with a substantial worldwide capacity, and it currently produces a huge number of coils to the highest global quality standards.
