The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has received eight bids for the 4.15 km Sarthana – North Ramp segment of the 40.35 km Surat Metro Phase 1 project.
Package CS4 is the fourth and final segment of Surat’s Line-1, which will run for 22.77 kilometres and connect Sarthana and Dream City through 20 stops. It will have four elevated stations in the city’s north-east, including Sarthana, Nature Park, Varaccha Chopati Garden, and Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Kalakunj.
In February, GMRC issued a tender for it, with a budget of Rs. 286 crore and an uncertain timeframe. Technical proposals have been accepted.
