Ami Organics Limited stated that its board of directors has authorised a capital expenditure plan of Rs 190 crore to establish a brownfield facility in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, to support the company’s advanced pharmaceutical intermediates segment’s future growth.
On March 31, 2021, Ami Organics purchased two facilities from Gujarat Organics in Ankleshwar and Jhagadia.
During the past quarter, output from the Ankleshwar unit was effectively shifted to the Jhagadia plant for optimal resource use without losing any income.
The existing facility at Ankleshwar is now being dismantled, and a new plant will be erected on the same site.
