Kanodia Cement opens a cement grinding plant in UP

Kanodia Cement, one of the country’s biggest cement manufacturers, has opened a cement grinding plant in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi District.

Kanodia Cement now has four cement grinding mills distributed throughout Uttar Pradesh and Bihar with a capacity of 2.80 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).

The company’s four machines are all equipped with a fully automated grinding system. Kanodia Cement’s cement grinding mill in Amethi has been expanded by 1.5 mtpa, and production has started this month.

Vishal Kanodia, Managing Director, Kanodia Cement, has said that “Kanodia Cement is looking at more than 50 per cent growth over existing capacity and this expansion will help the company maintain its share and competitiveness in the Central and Eastern Uttar Pradesh markets in India. The Amethi expansion is part of the company’s strategy to increase its total cement capacity to 4.30 mtpa and spread across 44 acres of area. We are optimistic about the growth in demand for cement in India.

The set-up of our Amethi unit along with more investments in the coming years will help us unlock fresh opportunities by debottlenecking existing capacities and creating new ones across the country. We expect our new cement manufacturing unit to provide employment to around 1,000 people directly and indirectly.”
