Godavari Biorefineries Ltd (GBL), a major manufacturer of ethanol and ethanol-based chemicals, had a groundbreaking ceremony at Sakarwadi, Maharashtra, to expand its manufacturing facilities. GBL also opened a biochemical research and new product development facility.
The Sakarwadi factory produces bio-based chemicals for a variety of purposes, and the research centre is equipped to conduct advanced biochemical research.
“We are delighted that the specialty chemicals facility and our ramped up research laboratory will enable us to expand the bio-chemical industry,” said Samir Somaiya, chairman and Managing Director, GBL.
