Thangam Thenarasu, the Minister for Industries, declared before the Assembly that a new SIPCOT will be built on 3,000 acres near Krishnagiri at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore.He also announced that the industries department will be renamed the “Industries, Investment Promotion, and Commerce Department.”
A separate commissionerate will be established to increase the ease of doing business in the state.
Roads will be renovated as part of the Comprehensive Road Infrastructure Development Program to increase connection between industries and SIPCOT.
The State government aims to announce a special initiative to boost technology-assisted production and develop a new SIPCOT on 3,000 acres in the Soolagiri taluk of Krishnagiri to increase the State’s position in the textile business.
