The first-ever longest bridge over Narmada river will be completed shortly. According to Pramod Sharma, Managing Director of the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL), work on the 1,260-meter bridge is now ongoing, with a target completion date of June 2024.
The bridge in Gujarat’s Bharuch city is expected to be the longest on the 508-kilometer Bullet Train track.
According to SC Agnihotri, Managing Director of NHSRCL, the trial run for the whole Gujarat leg of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed train route would commence in 2026, and passenger services will be available by 2027.
