Coal Sector to Invest Rs.12500 Crore for 35 First Mile Connectivity: Pralhad Joshi

Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, stated that scaling up domestic coal production should be a top priority for all CIL subsidiaries to maintain a steady supply of coal, particularly during the upcoming monsoon season.

35 First Mile Connectivity (FMC) projects would be completed on a priority basis, according to the Minister, with an estimated capital cost of Rs.12,500 crore.

Joshi stated that the Ministry of Coal is giving top priority to coal gasification projects, and that efforts are on to bring in private firms and cutting-edge technology for coal gasification, with a focus on Atmanirbhar Bharat.
