- Hindustan Spirits is planning to take up distillery expansion project in Paniyala, Tehsil- Kotputli, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The project involves expansion of distillery by increase in production capacity ENA/RS/Ethanol 175 KLD, IMFL/CL Bottling 20000 Cases/day, Multi Effect Evaporator (MEE), Co-generation plant & Boiler and addition of Malted Barley 25 TPD, Brewery 75 KLD, Malt spirit 5 KLD, Pot Still & CO2 (by product) processing plant. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1000 million. As of February 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Shree Siddheshwar Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana is planning to take up a molasses based distillery unit expansion project in Kumathe, North Solapur, Solapur, Maharashtra. The project involves expanding the molasses based distillery unit from 20 KLPD to 100 KLPD, rectified spirit 3600 KL/M, Ethanol 2850 KL/M, ENA 2820 KL/M, Impure Spirit 180 KL/M and CO2 Gas 2310 MT/M. The project is estimated to cost Rs.984.71 million. As of April 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project.
- Shri Tatyasaheb Kore Warna SSK is planning to take up a new ethanol plant in Warna Nagar, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The project involves establishment of ethanol plant with capacity 45 KLPD. The project is estimated to cost Rs.100 million. As of April 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project.
- Parvati Sweetners And Power is planning to take up new ethanol manufacturing project in Sakhni, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves manufacture of ethanol (denatured ethyl alcohol of an alcoholic strength by volume of 80% or higher) with capacity 20000 KL. The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on December 2019. As of May 2020, the project is in planning stage.
- Godavari Biorefineries is planning to take up distillery expansion project in Saidapur, Handigund, Madbhavi Villages, Mudhol, Bagalkot, Karnataka. The project involves expanding the distillery unit from 320 KLPD to 400 KLPD. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1332 million. The project was submitted for the first level of environmental clearance and was accorded the same in Nov 2017. On June 2020, the project has been given final environmental clearance by ministry of Environment and forest. As of April 2021, project involves expand the existing ethanol manufacturing capacity to 600,000 L/d, using sugarcane syrup. Praj Industries Ltd. (Pune, India) was awarded a contract.
- Bannari Amman Sugars is planning to take up new distillery project in Alaganchi, Mysore, Karnataka. The project involves ethyl alcohol(rectified spirit/neutral spirit/medium grade alcohol/anhydrous ethanol) production from fermented materials (undenatured ethyl alcohol of an alcoholic strength by volume of 80% or higher) with capacity 31.5 Million Ltrs. The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on January 2020. As of June 2020, the project is in planning stage
- Savson Distil is planning to set up new grain based distillery plant in Kokatnur village, Athani, Balagavi, Karnataka . The project involves establish an unit of 100 KLPD grain based distillery plant -Ethanol, ENA, Rectified Spirit. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1220 million. As of July 2020, State Level Single Window Clearance Committee has approved the investment proposal.
- Bioindus Chemicals is planning to take up new ethanol plant in Latur, Beed, Maharashtra. The project involves establishment of ethanol plant with capacity 20 KLPD of Fuel Ethanol Molasses based
distillery. The project DPR Approved. The consultant and contractor of the project is Tritech Solutions. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.322 million. As of August 2020, the project is in under development stage. - Ankur Biochem is planning to take up new ethanol unit in Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The project involves setting up new ethanol unit with 100 KLPD to produce potable and industrial grade alcohol using grains such as corn and rice as feedstock. As alcohol produced from grains is supposed to be of very high quality and fetches higher price, it is assumed that most of the alcohol produced would be sold to potable liquor industry. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1500 million. The Contractor of the project Contractor Praj Industries Ltd and consultant Vasantdada Sugar Institute. On August 2020, the project is in under development stage. As of October 2020, project involves expanding the extra natural
alcohol, technical alcohol and ethanal from 60 KLPD to 200 KLPD and captive power generation from 2.5 MW to 4.0 MW with investment of Rs.2060 Million. The company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
