Rs 615 crore spent for construction work of Patna metro project: Kaushal Kishore

The physical and financial development of the Patna metro train project, according to Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Kaushal Kishore, was 1.6 percent and 2.79 percent, respectively, until February this year.

“So far, Rs 615 crore has been spent on the construction work on the priority corridor between Malahi Pakri and Patliputra bus terminal,” he added.

In response to a query from former Bihar deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi in the Rajya Sabha, the minister stated that the project’s sanctioned cost is Rs 13,365 crore, with the federal contribution being Rs 1,840 crore.

“A sum of Rs 262 crore has already been given to the state government. The state government’s share is Rs 5,908 crore (including land acquisition) out of which 1,070 crore has been released,” Kishore said.
