Sterlite Power gets Rs 440 crore funding from Tata Cleantech Capital for Nangalbibra project

The Nangalbibra – Bongaigaon Transmission Limited (NBTL) project has reached financial close, according to Sterlite Power Transmission Limited (“Company” or “Sterlite Power”), a prominent private sector power transmission infrastructure developer and solutions provider.

Tata Cleantech Capital, the first private sector climate financing organisation in the Green Banking Network, has successfully obtained the total loan investment of INR 440 crores. This financial close occurs within two months of the project’s acquisition by the SPV.

In December 2021, Sterlite Power purchased the NBTL SPV in order to complete the interstate transmission system project.

Across the North-Eastern topography of Assam and Meghalaya, the project include the building of 300 ckt km of transmission lines and a greenfield substation with 320 MVA transformation capacity.
