The Union government has authorised Rs 20 crore for the establishment of a common facility centre (CFC) for an IT park in Nashik, Maharashtra.
The CFC will house all of the IT industry’s infrastructural requirements in one location.
Nashik Municipal Corporation recently issued a request for expressions of interest for a joint venture to establish an IT park inside the municipal corporation’s boundaries with residents who own land of 50 acres or more.
The IT Park’s development module will be decided soon. The Union Ministry has already given its approval for a CFC to be built in the projected IT Park, which will cost Rs 20 crore. It has also received an additional Rs 100 crore from the central government for the purpose.
