The Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) successfully completed a trial run of its Phase 1-A expansion from Petta to SN Junction.
The Metro train ‘Vaigai’ began a trial run on the new track at 12 a.m. on Monday, starting at the second platform of Petta station and ending at SN Junction station at 12.56 a.m. The trial went on until 4:30 a.m.
The trial run also took place on Tuesday morning, according to KMRL officials.
It should be noted that the length where the trial run was held on Monday is KMRL’s initial stretch. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation built the 25-kilometer line from Aluva to Pettah (DMRC).
