The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has completed about 77 percent of the joint measurement survey (JMS) in villages along the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Mahamarg’s Nanded-Jalna segment.
The 179-kilometer Nanded-Jalna motorway passes through 87 communities. According to the authorities in charge, the joint measurement survey has been completed in 67 communities.
A total of 2,200 hectares would be purchased for the greenfield project, which is expected to cost Rs 14,500 crore to build. By October 2024, the project, which would cut travel time between Nanded and Mumbai in half, will be done.
