Cement company ACC Ltd, has been named the winning bidder for the Kannur Limestone Block in Karnataka.
The corporation has obtained projected limestone deposits of more than 250 million tonnes through this mining block, according to ACC, which did not disclose the value of its bid.
It was also mentioned that this limestone block is adjacent to the company’s existing Wadi cement facility.
ACC, a subsidiary of the Swiss construction materials giant Holcim (formerly LafargeHolcim), had bid in an e-auction for the block in Karnataka’s Kalburgi district.
