Daikin Air-Conditioning’s New AC Mfg. Unit
Daikin Airconditioning is planning to take up new AC manufacturing unit in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The project involves setting up a large air-conditioner (AC) manufacturing plant which will come up in phases. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.10000 million. The plant, expected to start operations from 2023, will have a total capacity of 1.5 million units per year. As of September 2021, Daikin has become the first company to acquire land for a new factory under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for white goods.
Shree Cement’s New Clinker Grinding Unit
Shree Cement is planning to take up new clinker grinding unit in Purulia, West Bengal. The project involves setting up a clinker grinding unit. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.7500 million. As of September 2021, pre project activities are going on.
