Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd emerged as the highest bidder for two coal blocks auctioned for commercial use in Jharkhand.
According to the coal ministry, Mahanadi Mines and Minerals Pvt Ltd was the highest bidder for a coal block in Odisha, while Yazdani Steel And Power Ltd was the highest bidder for another coal mine in the eastern state.
The highest bidder for a mining site in Assam was Assam Mineral Development Corp Ltd. On the first day of the sale, five coal mines were placed up for auction, according to the announcement.
