Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to renew site clearance approvals for the proposed greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram, Vizianagaram district.
The Union Civil Aviation Ministry gave site clearance for the Bhogapuram airport in 2015, and the Defence Ministry had already awarded the requisite clearances.
The CM had requested a renewal of the site clearance due to the project’s delay, according to sources.
After meeting with the Prime Minister, Jagan met with Minister for Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia and asked for his help in completing the greenfield international airport as soon as possible.
