CMRL invites bids for construction of underground stations

The Chennai Metro Rail (CMRL) has issued a request for proposals for the building of subterranean stations as part of the Phase-II project.

The scope of work includes the construction of underground stations with entry/exit, ventilation shafts, plumbing, earthmat, architectural finishes & signages, etc. at Kolathur Junction, Srinivasa Nagar, Villivakkam sub-urban station (Villivakkam), Villivakkam Bus Terminus, and Nathamuni (Villivakkam MTH Road), as well as twin bored tunnels from Kolathur Junction Retrieval Shaft to Nathamuni (Villiva

The project’s anticipated cost is Rs 1,580 crore, and it would take 46 months to complete.
