Modi Naturals Limited has made the decision to build an ethanol plant in Chhattisgarh. Modi Naturals Limited has established a 100 percent subsidiary (wholly owned subsidiary) called ‘Modi Biotech Private Limited’ for this project (MBPL).
The Central Government has given MBPL in-principle clearance for a 210 KLD distillery for the production of ethanol, as well as signing an MOU with the Chhattisgarh government.
The total investment over the next two years is projected to be around Rs 250 crore, with the first phase of 110 KLD scheduled to be completed in a year with a Rs 160 crore investment.
