Ghatampur Transmission (GTL), a subsidiary of Adani Transmission (ATL), announced that it has completed the building of one of India’s longest intra-State transmission lines, measuring 897 circuit kilometres.
This will benefit Kanpur, Agra, Greater Noida, and Hapur by improving the operating efficiency of Uttar Pradesh’s electricity system network.
At Agra, Greater Noida, and Hapur, the transmission line has four 765KV and 400KV bay expansions. On a Build, Own, Operate, and Maintain (BOOM) basis, this project was built through a public-private partnership (PPP). ATL said in a statement that this will provide transmission services to Long-Term Transmission Customers (LTTC) with a 35-year runway ahead of them.
