Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced Rs 1,242 crore worth of infrastructure schemes for Salem district. The projects announced by him include underground drainage system, amenities for additional drinking water supply, a flyover and a textile park.
Stalin inaugurated various completed projects, distributed welfare assistance to beneficiaries and laid foundation stone for new initiatives, all worth over Rs 261 crore.
The Chief Minister added that the would visit the district again and again and continue to monitor all the initiatives.
He also rolled out two State-wide schemes, ‘Nammakku Naame Thittam (NNT),’ and ‘Nagarpura Velai Vaippu Thittam (NVVT)’.
