Simple Energy, an electric two-wheeler manufacturer, announced it will invest up to Rs 2,500 crore in a production facility in Tamilnadu over the next five years.
The proposed facility, which would be situated across 600 acres of land, will be the Bengaluru-based company’s second such production unit and is slated to be operational by 2023, according to a press release.
The Tamilnadu government has inked a memorandum of understanding with Simple Energy for an investment of up to Rs 2,500 crore to build the world’s largest electric two-wheeler state-of-the-art factory in Dharmapuri, according to the company.
