- Bhawani Shankar Castings is planning to take up new steel ingot manufacturing project in Raowali, Pathankot Road Tehsil, Jalandhar, Punjab. The project involves manufacturing of steel Ingot @ 90 TPD or 29700 TPA to to increase the capacity of unit by upgrading existing Induction Furnace 7TPH to 10TPH and addition of one new Induction Furnace of capacity 10TPH. Total capacity of the unit post-expansion will be 98,000 TPA of Steel Ingots/billets. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.12941.9 million. As of June 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Essar Minmet is planning to take up new greenfield iron ore pellet plant in Paradip, Jagatsinghpur, Orissa. The project involves set up a greenfield Pellet plant for production of 14 MTPA (2 x 7 MTPA) pellets. The pellet plant is envisaged to produce both Blast Furnace (BF) grade (70-75%) and Direct Reduction (DR) grade (25-30%) pellets, which will be sold to the international as well as domestic market. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.35830 million. As of January 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- S K Steel Tech is planning to take up quality steel expansion project in Sompura Industerial Area, Dabaspete, Bangalore, Karnakaka. The project involves expanding the quality steel from 24,000 TPA to 1,50,000 TPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.120 million. As of January 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Godawari Power and Ispat is planning to take up new various facility in Bastar, Chhattisgarh. The project involves setting up various facilities. These facilities include a coal gasifier, oxygen plant, steel melting shops, and land refining furnaces, among others. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.900 million. As of January 2021, Company entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Chhattisgarh. The state government will facilitate GPIL in procuring land, water allocation & coal linkages and also provide all incentives available to the mega/very large industrial projects as per the industrial policy.
- Ajar Amar Steel Concast is planning to take up new steel manufacturing unit expansion project in Dugri, Tehsil- Payal, Ludhiana, Punjab. The project involves expansion in the existing steel manufacturing unit to increase the production capacity of steel billets/Ingots/Hand tool Flats/Industrial Rounds from 26950 TPA to 88,550 TPA, the total capacity 1,15,500TPA . The estimated cost of the project is Rs.234.514 million. As of January 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
