In Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Noida International Airport (NIA). As a result, Uttar Pradesh will become India’s only state with five international airports.
According to officials, the new airport, which is around 72 kilometres from the IGI airport in New Delhi, will be India’s largest once it is completed. The first phase of the airport’s development is expected to cost more than Rs 10,050 crore.
This airport is being built just weeks after the prime minister opened the Kushinagar international airport in Uttar Pradesh to strengthen the country’s aviation industry. In Ayodhya, another international airport is now being built.
