The Assam state government-owned utility Assam Power Generation Corporation Ltd (APGCL) has placed an order with Andritz to supply the whole electro-mechanical equipment for the Lower Kopili hydropower facility on the Kopili river in central Assam, India.
However, by the end of 2024, it is scheduled to be commercially operational.
Furthermore, this is Andritz’s first contract with the Assam Power Generation Company.
The company’s scope of work also comprises plant design and engineering, production, delivery, erection, testing, and commissioning of the entire electro-mechanical equipment for the Lower Kopili hydropower project, including all 5 turbine-generator units.
