Daramic, a member of the Asahi Kasei Group and the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of lead-acid battery separators for automotive, industrial, and specialty applications, announced that its manufacturing unit in Dahej, Gujarat, will double its production capacity.
Due to increased demand from India and adjacent countries, the plant was expanded from two to four production lines in just four years, according to the corporation.
The addition of four production lines will greatly improve output, allowing the company to meet the full demand of Indian clients on a local level while also assisting customers in overcoming global supply chain issues.
Export opportunities to neighbouring geographies will also be expanded as a result of the capacity expansion. Daramic has long been the key component producer for major Indian brands, with the country’s largest market share.
