Greaves Electric Mobility, Greaves Cotton’s e-mobility division, just opened its largest EV manufacturing facility in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The 35-acre plant will serve as an electric mobility hub for both domestic and international markets and is located in Tamil Nadu’s Industrial Centre.
The Ranipet plant is part of a Rs 700-crore investment plan announced in February 2021 to help the company grow its market share in India.
By the conclusion of the fiscal year, this plant will be able to produce 1,20,000 units. In the foreseeable future, there are plans to gradually ramp up to a million units.
