The Mobile Premier League, an online gaming platform, will open a game development centre in Telangana that will employ 500 young people.
On the margins of IndiaJoy 2021, which began on Tuesday, it inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government.
Under the terms of the agreement, the state government would dedicate a 500-seat venue in IMAGE Towers to the Mobile Premier League, with the MPL agreeing to share technology know-how and hire local talent.
Principal secretary for information technology, electronics and communication department, government of Telangana, Jayesh Ranjan and Mobile Premier League CEO Sai Srinivas Kiran signed the MoU in the presence of minister for information technology and industry K.T. Rama Rao.
