Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the first operationalized private sector defence manufacturing unit in the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor (UPDIC) in Lucknow.
Aerolloy Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries, will operate the facility, which will produce parts for aircraft engines, helicopter engines, structural parts for aircraft, drones and unmanned aerial vehicles, submarines, ultra-light artillery guns, space launch vehicles, and strategy systems, among other things.
The Minister also laid the cornerstone for PTC Industries’ integrated metal manufacturing facility, which will produce vital raw materials for aerospace applications like titanium and other exotic alloys.
