The Delhi government has sanctioned the construction of a double-deck viaduct with a PWD flyover on the lower deck and a segment of the future Delhi Metro Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor on the upper deck.
The government’s Expenditure Finance Committee approved Rs 220.1 crore for the project, as well as Rs 230.6 crore for the construction of new Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology building blocks (NSUT).
Apart from a 1.4-kilometer length on the Majlis Park-Maujpur section, the Public Works Department is collaborating with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on a 2.5-kilometer viaduct on the future Tughlakabad–Aerocity line of Delhi Metro’s Phase IV project.
The projected Yamuna Vihar and Bhajanpura metro stations will be connected by an integrated structure on the Majlis Park-Maujpur circuit.
