The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) has cleared the way for the steel plant to be built in Kadapa, as it has issued Consent for Establishment (CFE).
A K Parida, chairman of the APPCB, stated that the board approved the CFE after reviewing all applicable applications. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s dream, he stated, is to bring industrial growth to the state and provide large-scale employment opportunities for the young.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the Kadapa Steel Plant in December 2019 in order to realise his ambition.
The project’s entire cost is anticipated to be Rs.16,986 crores.
