New flyover to be constructed by Vadodara Municipality to ease traffic on Ajwa Road

An infrastructure project has been suggested by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC). The municipal council has chosen to create a continuous flyover in the eastern section of the city by combining two proposed flyovers.

The city’s nodal agency had begun work on two different flyovers. In the eastern section of the state, the Gujarat Municipal Finance Board approved these flyovers at the Sardar Estate and Vrundavan crossroads.

The initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion on Ajwa Road and Waghodiya Road. Following the state government’s decision to build 54 bridges in municipal corporations in the state budget 2019-20, these were chosen from a list of six prepared by the civic body.
