CPWD contract of Rs 5,000 – 7,000 crore bagged by L&T’s construction arm

The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) of the Government of India has awarded Larsen & Tuobro’s (L&T) construction arm, L&T Construction, a contract of Rs 5,000-Rs 7,000 crore for its buildings and factories business to construct the Central Secretariat integrated buildings 1, 2, and 3.

The buildings in Plot 137 have a total built-up area of 48.11 lakh square feet, including operation and maintenance. These structures will all have a ground floor, an upper ground floor, six storeys, and two basements.

This project is expected to take 24 months to complete.
