“The development of the station has been turned over to our division,” Ambala division railway manager (DRM) Gurinder Mohan Singh said.
He added: “Now we’ll draw up plans to turn Chandigarh station into a world-class facility.”
Due to the epidemic, the work was postponed until 2020.
As part of the rehabilitation project, the IRSDC SPV recently issued a call for proposal for leasing four vacant land parcels for mixed-use development. As a result, interested parties have been asked to submit bids for lease rights lasting up to 99 years.
