Procter & Gamble India, a manufacturer of FMCG goods, announced on Wednesday that it will invest Rs 2,000 crore to build a new personal healthcare manufacturing facility in Gujarat.
Procter & Gamble, which is the owner of well-known brands including Ariel, Duracell, Gillette, Head & Shoulders, Oral-B, Pampers, Pantene, Tide, Vicks, and Whisper, would be opening its ninth facility in India as a result.
According to a business statement, the new facility in Sanand, which spans 50,000 square metres, will manufacture items for P&G’s worldwide healthcare portfolio, particularly digestives.
“This facility will be operational over the next few years and is set to become an export hub for P&G globally, as it will help P&G India in serving consumers across the globe,” it said.
