The government of Odisha suggests working together with Japan on biomedical research and innovation.
Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister of Science and Technology, stated that the Japanese collaboration in the area will be crucial for research and innovation, business exchange, and the development of human resources, while on a visit to the Kobe Bio-Medical Innovation Cluster in Japan.
He suggested starting a collaborative venture between the Government of Odisha and the Kobe Bio-Medical Innovation Cluster in Japan through the Ministry of External Affairs.
According to Panda, the collaboration will be made possible by the Consulate General Office in Osaka. He also emphasised the importance of starting the collaboration at reputable institutions like the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) and ICMR-RMRC, Bhubaneswar.
Panda said that Science and Technology Department has signed an MoU with Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Centre (BKIC) to coordinate such innovation activities with organisations having national and international repute to take up more initiatives.
