- VA Tech Wabag is planning to take up new drinking water treatment plant in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The project involves development of 178 MLD water treatment plant for Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (`TWAD’) using space saving proprietary Plate Settler technology. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.940 million. As of January 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.

The project is estimated to cost Rs.22.2 million. As of June 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project

As of September 2020, the project is in under development stage and is being developed through the EPC route.
