- Government Of Punjab is planning to take up project in Simgauli village in Mohali district, Punjab. The project involves setting up 7 MW waste to energy plant. The project will be completed within the next two years and the waste to energy plant would generate power from 600 tonnes per day (TPD) waste collected from Mohali and Patiala. As of January 2020, Singh chaired a meeting here and also gave approval for an MoU between the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Municipal Corporation Mohali.
- Municipal Corporation Gurgaon is planning to take up waste to energy plant expansion project in Bandhwari Village, Gurugram, Haryana. The project involves expanding the waste to energy plant from 15 MW to 25 MW for integrated municipal solid waste processing facility. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.6170.092 million. On July 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway. As of March 2021, the waste-to-energy plant is yet to be set up by Ecogreen Energy Private Limited at the site. According to MCG officials, nearly 10 acres of land is required for the waste-to-energy plant while the Bandhwadi plant is spread over 30 acres of municipal land. The corporation officials informed that the civic body has paid more than Rs. 1260 million to Ecogreen in 31 months but the company did not begin the work even after a year of getting environmental clearance.
- Karnataka Power Corporation is planning to take up waste to energy plant in Bidadi, Karnataka. The project involves setting up waste to energy plant with capacity 11.5 MW. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.2600 million. The plant will have indigenous products and equipment. The plant will need 600 tonne of segregated waste on a daily basis to produce power. As of October 2020, The letter of award for construction of the WTE plant has been awarded to Noida-based ISGEC Heavy Engineering, along with its consortium partner Hitachi Zosen India.
- Government of Madhya Pradesh is planning to take up a new waste to energy plant in Pahadiya, Raipur, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves setting up waste to energy plant with capacity 2 X 6 MWh, compost plant 25550 MT, refuse derived fuel facility 182500 MT, sanitary landfill 175 TPD, animal carcass incinerator 200 Kg/hr, construction and demolition waste management facility for compressed earth blocks, clay, aggregates, sand, & paver blocks and kerbs – 36500 MT and recyclables 5110 MT. The project is estimated to cost Rs.1705 million. As of February 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
- Hyderabad MSW Energy Solutions is planning to take up a new Waste to Energy Plant in Dundigal, Quthubullapur, Medchal II, Telangana. The project involves establishment of Waste to Energy Plant with capacity 14.5 MW. The project is estimated to cost Rs.2750 million. As of August 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
- Malabar Waste Management is planning to take up a new waste to energy plant in Cheruvannur, Kozhikode, Kerala. The project involves setting up waste to energy plant to generate 6 MW power with compost 20 MT waste. On September 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project. As of February 2021, the proposed plant is within the existing compost plant facility and landfill site of 12.67 acres at Cheruvannur village, located on the Kozhikode PalakkadHighway at Njalianparambu in Kerala. About 281.99 MT of MSW is generated in Kozhikode Corporation every day. Out of this, 150 tons is collected by the Corporation on daily basis The project is estimated to cost Rs.2564 million. Out of it, capital grant / viability gap funding (VGF) is available for Rs 484.4 million. Accordingly, the net project cost of electricity business claimed by the petitioner is Rs.1659.4 million. The powergenerated will be evacuated at 66 kV level, through the nearest NallalamSubstation grid. This would be sold to KSEBL as per PPA.
- Dharamshala Smart City is planning to take up new waste to energy project in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. The project involves setting up waste to energy project with estimated waste generation of 6 TPD. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.44.7 million. The mode of implementation of the project is on PPP basis. As of October 2020, Currently this project is under planning stage and the detailed project report is under progress. This project brings an opportunity for contractor. The project management consultant of this project is Almondz Global Infra Consultant Limited – ILF Consulting Engineers Limited.
- ISGEC Heavy Engineering is planning to take up new waste to energy plant in Bidadi, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The project involves setting up waste to energy plant. On November 2020, Isgec has won an order from Karnataka Power Corporations Limited (KPCL). As of December 2020, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa laid the foundation stone for the plant, which will help the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). At an initial investment of Rs. 2400 million, will take 600 tonnes of segregated municipal waste a day from the city and make refuse-derived fuel (RDF). The plant in Bidadi will also be able to generate 80.59MU of power as byproduct of the plant, which will be available to the State Grid. The project has been awarded to the consortium members ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd., Noida and Hitachi Zosen India Pvt Ltd. The project is jointly financed by BBMP and KPCL.
- Puducherry Smart City Development is planning to take up new waste to energy project in Puducherry. The project involves setting up of Bio-power plant. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.157 million. The mode of implementation of the project is yet to be decided. As of November 2020, Currently this project is under planning stage and the detailed project report is under progress. This project brings an opportunity for contractor. The project management consultant of this project is Nippon Koei – PricewaterhouseCoopers Pvt Ltd..
