Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha, opened the integrated logistics and manufacturing facility for consumer goods owned by ITC in Khurda.
Patnaik congratulated ITC CMD Sanjeev Puri and urged him to increase the business’ presence in the state.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to turning Odisha into the nation’s next industrial centre.
He explained that the Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) 2022 aspires to make Odisha a modern and advanced industrial state by providing investors with exceptional prospects for sustainable company growth and promoting the people’s overall socio-economic development.
The food processing sector is one of the priority sectors in IPR 2022 and this facility by ITC marks a significant milestone for Odisha, he said.
The facility is built on an area of 35 acre. It is dedicated to seven production lines, including Aashirvaadatta, Yippee! noodles, Sunfeast biscuits and Bingo! chips.
