Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, departed for Singapore and Japan on Tuesday to invite businessmen to the global investors’ meeting, which will be held in Chennai in January of next year.
Stalin will also sign agreements with a few businesses to bring in money and create jobs in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to the media at Chennai International Airport, Stalin announced that his nine-day travel abroad will be accompanied by senior officials including Industries Minister TRB Raja.
Stalin has travelled overseas twice since taking office in May 2021.
Stalin added that ever since the DMK came to power in mid-2021, Rs 2,95,399 crore worth investments have been “confirmed” after 226 memoranda of understanding were signed. When fully implemented, these would usher in jobs to over 4.12 lakh people, he said.
